A limited batch of the Xiaomi Mi electric scooter, model M365 is due for recall by the company. There are 10,257 affected units, of which 14 are in Singapore.

Xiaomi says the affected units have a screw in the folding apparatus, which may potentially come lose and cause the vertical component to be detached from the scooter’s main body. The affected units have serial numbers in the following ranges, i.e.,

  • 21074/00000316 - 21074/00015107
  • 16133/00541209 - 16133/00544518

As a precautionary measure, Xiaomi will initiate a voluntary product recall for potentially affected Mi electric scooters, from 1st July 2019 onwards. The recall will start earlier in the United Kingdom on 26th June 2019.
