PSA: Update your Galaxy S10 now for Note10 video features

Samsung has just announced an update for their Galaxy S10 series new features first seen in their Galaxy Note10 and Note10+ smartphones. After upgrading, Galaxy S10e, S10 and S10+ users will get expanded Night Mode support for its front-facing camera, and Enhanced Super Steady video stabilization.

The Galaxy S10 will also support features like AR Doodle and Live Focus video recording. As first seen with the Note10 series, AR Doodle lets you easily add augmented reality drawings and messages to your video clips. Live Focus recording on the other hand, lets you apply bokeh effects and make depth-of-field adjustments to your videos taken with both the front and the rear camera.

Just like with the Note10, the S10 will have an app-accessible video editor so you can cut videos on-the-fly with tools to trim clips, stitch them together, adjust playback speed, add titles, and add a background soundtrack. No additional software required!

Control your S10 with your computer's keyboard and mouse with DeX.

The update also brings improved support for Samsung DeX on PC or Mac. As with the Note10, just connect your phone to a computer with any USB to Type C cable and DeX will launch, giving you a reflection of your phone in a separate window. This means you’ll be able to control your phone from your keyboard and mouse, with a much larger display to boot.

There’s also Link to Windows support, which allows you to connect wirelessly to a Windows 10 PC. This lets you view the contents on their phone, send and receive messages, and sync recent photos directly from their computer.

Everyday apps like Samsung Pass and Messages will also be more versatile and convenient. The set-up process for Samsung Pass has been simplified, making it easier for you to use biometrics to log in to apps and websites quickly and securely. New icons for adding photos and videos have also been positioned to the left of the text window in the Messages app, so you have easier access to the files you need.
