PRISM+, an offshoot of local custom PC builder Aftershock, has announced a revamped version of its original W270 monitor. The W270 v2 is still aimed at content creators who need a wide color gamut for editing pictures, but it now features a higher 75Hz refresh rate to boost its appeal for gamers.

The W270 v2 features a crisp 2,560 x 1,440-pixel resolution and 130 per cent coverage of the sRGB color space. In comparison, the original W270 offered just 100 per cent sRGB coverage. The v2 monitor also uses an IPS-type panel, which means wide 178° viewing angles and more accurate color reproduction. In addition, PRISM+ is claiming a 5ms response time for this panel.

On top of that, it boasts super slim bezels on three sides that measure just 3mm thick, which should make for a more immersive viewing experience. The monitor's stand is also slightly different from the one on the W270, and it ditches the silver accents for an all black design.

The monitor supports VESA mounting as well, so you can easily mount it on a wall or onto monitor arms for multi-display configurations.

The W270 v2 is available to buy now at a special launch price of S$299. You can get it at the IT Show 2019 or the PRISM+ website.
