Prices for Electronic Components to Rise After Japan Quake

In the aftermath of the powerful quake that has devastated Japan, the analysts at iSuppli have estimated that important electronic components like NAND flash and LCD panels are likely to rise in prices once the current inventory is depleted. While not all the manufacturing facilities are in the affected region, Japan's infrastructure, especially power generation, has taken a severe hit.

iSuppli - Components impacted will include NAND flash memory, dynamic random access memory (DRAM), microcontrollers, standard logic, liquid-crystal display (LCD) panels, and LCD parts and materials.
