Yes, it's official; the pre-order window for the Xbox Series X and its smaller cousin the Series S will begin this coming Tuesday on September 22 at 6 am SGT for Singapore gamers, with the consoles priced at S$699 and S$499 respectively.

The announcement comes just under two months away from their stipulated release date of November 10, and according to the Xbox Wire post made earlier today, the pre-order window only applies to 37 countries at the time of writing, but will expand to include a total of 41 by the time the holiday season rolls around.

Needless to say, this latest development in the Series X versus PlayStation 5 saga has only added more fuel to the hype fire. Over the past few weeks, Microsoft and Sony have been engaging in an intense back-and-forth exchange of pricing, release dates and game showcases - one that looks set to continue until both consoles release in November. Of course, this comes on top of the age-old community debate regarding which company will end up taking home the next-gen console crown, but that story deserves its own space once the dust has settled.

Anyway, let's get back to business. For those of us here on the little red dot, a gentle reminder that the new consoles will be available at the following retailers on Tuesday morning, and with that said, make sure you're all set to mash that "Buy" button once it goes live.
