German telcos are gearing up for the launch of the 2018 iPhone lineup according to Macerkopf.

The tech site claims to have information from German telcos that the pre-orders for the 2018 iPhone models will take place on 14 September, Friday. This suggests that Apple could announce the new iPhones on 11 or 12 September and retail availability should be a week later on 21 September.

Based on the past 8 years of iPhone launches, Apple tends to choose Tuesday or Wednesday to announce the new generation of iPhones. Since Tuesday falls on 11 September, Apple might avoid holding an event on that date.

Apple is expected to unveil three new iPhone models next month alongside new Apple Watch models.
