The PowerColor Mini Pro and Mini are eGPU (external graphics processor) enclosures built exclusively for Mac users to boost the graphics performance on supported Mac devices for professional applications, 3D gaming, and content creation. In April last year, Apple announced support for external graphics cards on macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 or later.

The enclosures feature Thunderbolt 3 connectivity and they come pre-installed with AMD graphics cards in mini-ITX form factor, i.e., the PowerColor Mini features the AMD Radeon RX 560 while the Mini Pro sports an AMD Radeon RX 570.

The enclosures are compact and they require DC external power source supplied by their respective power adapters. This means they aren’t truly portable but the enclosures can be easily relocated to another part of the office when required. They are on sale now, the PowerColor Mini Pro has an SRP of US$479 and the Mini is priced at US$349.
