Delivering from a compact tabletop design which can be placed anywhere in the home, the Polk IES3 plays from favorite audio sources like the iPod or iPhone. With the proprietary I-Sonic Speaker Technology, the system employs an innovative 4-speaker array that yields convincing stereo imaging on all sides of the system.

Polk's patented PowerPort Bass venting technology provides impressive, authoritative bass performance from the IES3's small enclosure, just over 14 inches wide and 9 inches deep, and less than 5 inches high. Additionally, the IES3 features a 20-station AM/FM tuner, an auxiliary input for additional external sources and a clock with a snooze/sleep alarm and timer.

BALTIMORE, Maryland, USA – Polk AudioÆ will feature at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) the latest generation of its critically acclaimed I-Sonic Digital Audio System (DAS), the high-performance I-Sonic Entertainment System 3 (IES3). The new system delivers audiophile-worthy musical performance from a compact tabletop design that can reside virtually anywhere in the home, in any room where there is a countertop, end table or night stand.

“This latest generation of Polk's I-Sonic is a sonic leap forward, designed for those who love to hear everything in their music and want more out of a tabletop audio system," says Polk Product Line Manager Al Baron. “We've made important upgrades with higher power amplification, audiophile-grade speakers and new DSP processing, which lets the IES3 play louder and clearer, with bigger bass and better imaging. Music lovers can now get deeply satisfying 'main room' sound anywhere in the house, easily and affordably."

The new Polk IES3 is a powerful and flexible tabletop audio solution that unleashes the full sonic potential of favorite audio sources like iPods and iPhones. Featuring Polk's I-Sonic Speaker Technology (Patent Pending), the system employs an innovative 4-speaker array that yields convincing stereo imaging on all sides of the system, no matter where the listener is sitting, even behind the actual system. Polk's patented PowerPortÆBass venting technology yields impressive, authoritative bass performance from the IES3's remarkably small enclosure -- just over 14 inches wide and 9 inches deep, and less than 5 inches high.

In addition to its universal docking connection for portable music players and smartphones, the IES3 features a 20-station AM/FM tuner, an auxiliary input for additional external sources and a clock with a snooze/sleep alarm and timer. The headphone jack conveniently mutes the speaker system, as does a dedicated mute button, and a clear LCD display shows artist, title and commercial fields.

The new Polk IES3 will be available in the spring of 2012 for a suggested retail price of $299.95.
