Polaroid Announces Two Jelly Bean Tablets at CES 2013

When you think of Polaroid, the only gadget that comes to mind is a camera. CES 2013 marks a change for the company as it unveiled a pair of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean tablets. The tablets, called, M7 and M10 are dual-core and quad-core HD tablets respectively.

The back of the Polaroid M7 tablet has a striking resemblance to that of the Google Nexus 7. Don't you think so too?

The Polaroid M10 tablet seems to have an impressive build quality.

Both tablets will be available in spring 2013. Polaroid also has a tablet offering for the kids, the Kids Tablet. Powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a single-core 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM, the Kids Tablet has a 7-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

Like the M7 and M10, it has a memory card (SD) slot to augment its internal storage capacity of 8GB. Other specs include a 3,500mAh battery and 2-megapixel rear camera. It's available now at US$150.

The Polaroid Kids Tablet sports a rugged rubberized frame and big buttons for easy access.

Besides the three tablets, Polaroid also announced its first Android-based interchangeable lens camera at CES 2013.
