PlayStation Plus subscribers get racing and vampire games for free in October

Pretty great games are free in October!

PlayStation Plus’ free games of October include Need for Speed: Payback and Vampyr. You can either turn into a speed demon on the racetracks or an actual demon in gothic London - your choice. Both games will be available for free for all PlayStation Plus subscribers starting on October 6, 2020. 

In Need for Speed: Payback, players will have to participate in dangerous races and thrilling heist missions across dazzling setpieces. You can choose between three characters to play as in Fortune Valley, a corrupt place filled with drivers looking to hit the big time. Your mission? Revenge. 

Vampyr comes from Dontnod Entertainment, the developers behind Life is Strange and Tell Me Why. This third-person action RPG is set in 1918 London, where a doctor turned vampire struggles with his affliction. The city is filled with characters good and evil, and you’ll have to choose your victims carefully - lest you doom the entire city to death. Unless that’s what you want, of course - then feast away!

Both games will be free to keep until November 2, 2020. You can still claim September’s free games (PUBG and Street Fighter V) until October 5, 2020.
