If you’re wondering what game to boot up this weekend (though it should be The Last of Us Part 2), Ubisoft has got you sorted out! The publisher is making Assassin’s Creed: Origins free to play for the entirety of this weekend. Well - for PC players, that is.

In case you’re unfamiliar with the 2017 game, Assassin’s Creed: Origins takes the franchise back to Ancient Egypt, where players control Bayek - a man with an unquenchable thirst for revenge. Ancient Egypt is brought to life beautifully in this game, and that isn’t terribly surprising, considering that the Assassin’s Creed franchise is great at bringing famous historical eras to life in a really stunning way.

As far as open-world games go, this is one of the good ones. If you’re looking to pick this up, simply head over to the Ubisoft website and download the game via your Uplay client (providing you have one). The game will be free from June 19 to 21, and is already available for preloading now.

All progress made during this free weekend will also be carried over to the full game if purchased later - so what are you waiting for? Maybe vikings are more your style?
