Pininfarina has just unveiled its first-ever production car ahead of the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.

It is called the Battista - named after the company's founder - and it is a full-electric hypercar of improbable numbers.

Designed by a crack team of executives and engineers from Lamborghini, Porsche, BMW, and Pagani, the Battista has an all carbon fiber construction and uses a 120kWh lithium-ion battery pack from electric supercar specialist Rimac that produces a stupendous 1,900hp and a tarmac-ripping 2,300nm of torque.

Predictably, performance is phenomenal. 0-100km/h in under two seconds and 0-300km/h in under 12 seconds. Top speed is in excess of 350km/h. In a straight line, the Battista will outrun even an F1 car.

Pininfarina says the Battista should last about 450km on a single charge but expect this number to fluctuate greatly depending on heavy your right foot is and the weather conditions.

The last big number is the price. The Pininfarina Battista is priced at around US$2.6 million and only 150 will be made.
