Philips launches new 45-inch ultrawide monitor with 5MP noise-cancelling webcam

Philips 45B1U6900CH with 32:9 aspect ratio.

Do you need the screen space of two monitors, without too many stands or monitor arms blocking your way?

Philips just launched the new 45B1U6900CH, a curved 44.5-inch QHD resolution (5,120 x 1,440 pixels) monitor with a superwide 32:9 aspect ratio and 75 maximum refresh rate.

That’s the equivalent of two standard 16:9 monitors resting on a single stand at a pixel density of ~120PPI. It offers a VA LCD panel with 178° viewing angles, 1500R curvature, and VESA-certified DisplayHDR 400 rating. As an ultrawide monitor, it gives the users exactly what they need – more horizontal screen space to fit all the apps and programs they need to run for work or play.

Philips 45B1U6900CH comes with the real estate to check out your OF analytics while editing its content with a photo editor.

Additional features that take the 45B1U6900CH further include a pop-up 5MP webcam with a noise-cancelling microphone, a built-in USB-C docking system with ports like 1,000Mbps RJ45, two upstream USB-C that can charge laptops at 100W, four downstream USB-A with USB 3.2 Gen 2 (with one that supports mobile device charging), and a combo 3.5mm audio jack with both audio output and microphone input.

The monitor has two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, and supports up to HDCP 2.2. It also has built-in dual speakers (5W each), and an integrated KVM switch that lets you swap between two source devices on a single monitor.

"We are very happy to announce the release of the Philips 45B1U6900CH. The screen's size and ratio together with the additional features, like docking and the noise-cancelling webcam, make it an ideal choice for those who have really high expectations of their monitor," said " Kevin Wu, General Manager of MMD Singapore.

The Philips 45B1U6900CH goes on sale starting from April 2023, with pricing to be advised.
