OxygenOS 11 update now available to OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro

Are you using an OnePlus 8 or OnePlus 8 Pro smartphone? You can now get hold of OxygenOS 11; the latest OnePlus reskin for Android 11.

This firmware update will be distributed over-the-air (OTA) and will gradually reach more OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro users over a few days. Also, OnePlus has plans to also roll out OxygenOS 11 to other devices, such as the OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7Pro, OnePlus 7, OnePlus 6T, OnePlus 6, and OnePlus Nord.

Besides the typical bug-fixing and updating to Android 11, OnePlus said that OxygenOS 11 would bring a brand new user interface that's optimised for stability. The system's gaming mode (called Fnatic Mode) now offers three styles of notifications during gaming, a quick-reply feature for WhatsApp and Instagram, among other things. Overall improvements have been made to its Ambient Display function, and a new shortcut key for Dark Mode is also available via the pull-down menu.

OnePlus recommends at least a minimum of 3GB storage and 30% battery before users start installing OxygenOS 11.
