Outdoor Technology Unveils the Armadillo Rugged Bluetooth and AirPlay Enabled Speaker at CES 2013

Outdoor Technology has introduced the Armadillo during the CES 2013. A larger version of its predecessor, the Turtle Shell, the Armadillo is a rugged shelled boombox that will allow you to dig into the dirt and experience the outdoor terrain with your favorite tunes via AirPlay or Bluetooth. Ideal for camping and for the home, the Armadillo is shockproof, waterproof, allows for daisy chaining and provides a USB port for charging other devices.

Also debuting at CES is the new generation of the Turtle Shell boom box. The new version features Bluetooth 4.0 and other design enhancements including IPX6 waterproof standard certification and APT-X codex enhanced audio for a more complete listening experience.

The crisp deep bass and hi-fi sound from the Turtle Shell and Armadillo make them the ideal companion for music, movies games and even calls. They are also party-friendly with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that will last up to 10 hours. Both are also equipped with a built-in microphone making them ideal for speakerphone functionality.

The new Turtle Shell will be available in early 2013 for US$149.95 while the Armadillo will be available later in 2013.
Both will be on display at South Hall Booth #25933 at the CES 2013.
