Oppo's Reno 3 Pro is launching this month and features the Snapdragon 765G chipset

Oppo's VP and President of global sales took to the stage at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2019 to announce two new high-tier Qualcomm powered handsets.

At today's Snapdragon Tech Summit 2019, several Qualcomm partner vendors took to the stage to make strategic announcements. Oppo being a strong proponent of 5G and showing off its first dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS) capable 5G phone just days ago, wasted no time to take to the stage and announced two new handsets with Qualcomm's latest hardware.

Continuing Oppo's successful Reno series and right after it barely launched Reno 2, Oppo's preparing to launch Reno 3 Pro this month (December 2019) with Qualcomm's just-announced Snapdragon 765G mobile platform. While the Snapdragon 765 is an upper mid-tier mobile processor that will primarily focus on delivering 5G and AI to all consumers with its new integrated 5G modem, the Snapdragon 765G edition does the same plus delivering Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming experience - a marketing term that just means it will deliver higher graphics horsepower to deliver exceptional mobile gaming performance.

What's more, the Reno 3 Pro will also be the company's first dual-mode 5G handset which they shared back in October and they are carrying out what they've promised. Essentially, the Snapdragon 765 and 765G are integrated with a new Snapdragon X52 modem-RF system that supports both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) network architectures, which is Qualcomm's dual-mode 5G delivery platform.

Alen Wu makes sure everyone keeps a close lookout for their next flagship phone coming soon that will use the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform.

Alen Wu went further to also tease the audience that their true next-gen flagship handset is coming soon in Q1 2020 and will feature Qualcomm's top mobile process - the Snapdragon 865. If rumours are to believed, it should likely be a follow-up to the Find X model. We will be covering this new phone from Oppo, direct from its global launch early next year, so stay tuned for more from us.

Interested readers can keep an eye out at Oppo's official stores on Lazada and Shopee for the Reno 3 Pro.
