The Oppo A53 is now available in Singapore.

Launched in August 2020, the Oppo A53 is an entry-level smartphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 chipset (current-gen, entry-level octa-core SoC that uses the Kryo architecture). Its 6.5-inch display (1,600 x 720 pixels resolution) offers 90Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate.

It's 6GB, LPDDR4x RAM comes with Oppo's proprietary RAM+ Memory Optimisation, an algorithm that facilitates smoother phone operation and speeds up app boot-up. Other features include its generous 5,000mAh battery, its UFS 2.1 storage of 128GB, and expandable memory of up to 256GB via MicroSD card.

13MP main shooter leads its triple-rear camera configuration, with support for up to 6x digital zoom. There's also a secondary macro lens at f/2.4 aperture for close-ups, and 2MP depth camera for stylish bokeh shots. On the front, you can find a 16MP selfie camera tucked away in a punch-hold cut-out.

Of course, entry-level devices like Oppo A53 will have to forgo on some smartphone features, like waterproofing, fast-charging, wireless charging, fingerprint recognition, and NFC. Still, at an affordable S$329, it's hard to gripe about the missing bits.

Starting from 26 September 2020, the Oppo A53 will be available in two colourways - Electric Black and Fancy Blue - at Oppo's appointed storefronts - such as ShopeeLazada, Oppo Concept Store, and its authorised retailers islandwide.
