Oppo jumps on wireless charging bandwagon with the Ace 2 phone

The Oppo Ace 2.

Oppo just announced its first phone with wireless charging, the Ace 2. 

The Ace 2 comes with a 40W "AirVOOC" wireless charging system that is faster than the 27W Huawei's Wireless SuperCharge on the P40 Pro. Wired charging is superb fast as well with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 when used with the bundled charger and cable. 

Other specs include Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, 5G connectivity, OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, an in-display fingerprint sensor, a hole-punch front-facing camera, up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage space, and a rear triple-lens system (48MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro) with depth sensors. 

The Ace 2 will go on sale in China on 20 April with prices starting from 3,999 yuan (~S$802) for the 8GB + 128GB model, 4,399 yuan (~S$882) for 8GB + 256GB model and 4,599 yuan (~S$923) for the 12GB + 256GB model.
