Oppo extends phone warranty to 24 months

New Oppo products such as the R7 Plus will be covered under the extended 24-month warranty policy.

While most phone makers offer 12-month warranty coverage for their devices, Oppo Singapore has decided to challenge the industry norm and stand out with its new warranty policy.

Effective from 1st June 2015, all new Oppo products purchased from that date will be covered under a 24-month warranty policy. It is noteworthy to mention that Oppo is the first and only brand locally (at time of publication) to offer a 24-month warranty period for its mobile products.

In addition to the extended warranty coverage, Oppo Singapore is offering a one-time free-of-charge repair service for its phones that are accidentally damaged within the first year of purchase. Do note that similar terms and conditions apply to the repair service, which exclude, among other factors, the free replacement of parts for surface coatings designed to diminish over time or cosmetic damage due to normal ageing of the product.

Oppo Singapore also extended their one-for-one phone exchange period for consumers from the current 7 days to up to 30 days. The one-for-one exchange is valid for Oppo smartphones that suffer from hardware malfunction due to manufacturing defects, and the applicable warranty period is based on the original date of purchase.

The exchange policy does not apply to phones that fail to work due to physical damages (e.g. water immersion, accidental drops and other equivalent scenarios), network, software system or ROM malfunction, accessories-related damage, and loss or damage of stored personal data.
