Oppo announced the local availability and pricing of its smartphone, the A78 5G.
Powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 700 chipset and 8GB RAM, the Oppo A78 5G comes with 128GB internal storage space with support up to 1TB SD card expansion.
For consumers who use multipl apps at the same time, Oppo has its RAM Expansion technology which can increase the amount of RAM by up to 8GB for a smoother user experience.
Its 5,000mAh battery supports Oppo's 33W SuperVOOC fast-charging technology. Oppo claims it takes 67 minutes to charge the battery to 100%. There is also a Super Power Saving mode which conserves battery life for emergencies, and a Super Night Standby that limits power consumption to just 2%.
On the rear of the Oppo A78 5G is a dual-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera and a 2MP self-portrait lens. It has an 8MP front camera. With the help of software algorithms, the Oppo A78 5G is able to increase resolution of photos to 108MP.
Other specs include ColourOS 13, dual stereo speakers, a 6.56-inch display with 90Hz refresh rate, and resistance to water splashes.
The Oppo A78 5G (8GB RAM + 128GB ROM) will be available for purchase in Singapore from 4 February at S$399. It comes in two colour options: glowing purple and glowing black.
