Ookla Speedtest: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and Fold4 have the fastest download speeds in Singapore
As it turns out, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Fold4 have another reason to flex. And we don’t mean the hinges on these foldables.
Speedtest by Ookla published its Q4 2022 mobile market results, where its Speetest Global Index benchmarks mobile data speeds (if you’ve ever used their iOS or Android app to check your phones).
The research firm claimed that the fastest phones in Singapore are the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3, Galaxy Z Fold4, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max – each clocking above 170Mbps median download speeds with low 26-27ms median latencies.
The Galaxy S series also fared decently, coming in fifth for download speeds at 146.43Mbps. That should be quite exciting for users who are eagerly waiting for the upcoming Galaxy S23 series, which is due for a 2 February 2023 reveal.
Phone performance coincides with Ookla’s chipset findings, with phone modems from these models also clinching the top five spots for fastest performance.
Collectively, it’s the Apple iPhones across all levels that fared the best. Xiaomi and Oppo did very well too, respectively placing third and fourth as phone brands with fast median downloads.
