The first-ever OnePlus Watch was announced back in 2021. It was stunner back in those days, with up to two weeks of battery life, over 110 workout modes and more.

After three years, OnePlus has finally launched the OnePlus Watch 2, which looks like it could be even better.

Made with a stainless steel chassis and featuring a 2.5D curved sapphire glass protecting the display, the OnePlus Watch 2 is certified to the latest MIL-STD-810H US military standard while offering IP68 dust and water resistance as well as 5ATM water resistance.

Inside, the watch runs on a Dual-Engine Architecture with two processors: the Qualcomm  Snapdragon W5 performance chipset and the BES 2700 MCU Efficiency chipset. The efficiency chip takes on the real-time operating system (RTOS) and other tasks like background activity, while the Snapdragon W5 chip handles demanding tasks.

"We've made significant updates to Wear OS' hybrid interface to support new capabilities that run on OnePlus' innovative Dual-Engine Architecture. Through this collaboration, the OnePlus Watch 2 transparently switches between the low power and high-performance engines to deliver a feature-rich, premium smartwatch experience with optimized battery life." - said John Renaldi, Senior Director of Product and Design, Wear OS by Google.

Thanks to the Dual-Engine Architecture and a new 500mAh battery, the OnePlus Watch 2 offers up to 100 hours of use when in Smart Mode, or 48 hours with heavy usage. While not as jaw-dropping as the original OnePlus Watch, this is still a respectable battery life rating that doesn't lose out to other flagship smartwatches like the Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch.

Inside, the watch is supported by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, which should be enough for a few apps and music downloads for offline listening. The watch pairs with the OPlus app, and includes tracking modes for over 100 workout types, dual-frequency GPS for better accuracy, detailed sleep analysis and stress monitoring via heart rate variability.

The OnePlus Watch 2 runs on Wear OS 4, which is Google's latest version of Wear OS, and supports all the standard apps like Calendar, Maps, Assistant and more.

Priced at US$299.99 / €330, the OnePlus Watch 2 will be available for purchase from 4 March 2024 onwards in the Radiant Steel or Black Steel colourways. Local availability and pricing are yet to be announced, and we will update this article if more information comes our way.
