OnePlus confirms it is entering the foldable phone market in Q3
OnePlus will be entering the foldable phone market in Q3 this year.
At the launch event of the OnePlus 11, the company revealed a teaser image of its foldable phone. OnePlus did not provide additional details on the device, but consumers are likely to see two OnePlus foldable devices later this year.
OnePlus filed trademark applications for "OnePlus V Fold" and "OnePlus V Flip" with China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA). A tipster claims the foldable devices are being tested in several countries including Europe.
OnePlus filed a patent in 2021 which shows a two-hinge design for a foldable device. The two hinges divide the phone into three folding sections. Tipster Yogesh Brar shared in April 2022 that the OnePlus foldable phone is in development and could look like the Oppo Find N.
