The last OnePlus 2 announcement was supposedly made last week, but company executives appear to be too eager to share more information about the phone over the past few days.

Following his earlier confirmation that the phone will be priced below US$450, CEO Pete Lau announced on his Weibo account that the OnePlus 2 will come with dual-SIM support and dual-standby. In a separate blog post, the company reveals that the OnePlus 2 invite system has been improved.

OnePlus states that there will be 30 to 50x more invites this time, and "a quick and painless reservation list" for consumers to enter their email to receive an invite although early forum supporters will be given priority. Consumers who successfully purchase the OnePlus can share invites which will arrive faster to their friends.

If you are an avid follower of OnePlus, you would know that the invite system for the OnePlus last year was a disaster; co-founder Carl Pei acknowledged earlier this year that the user experience wasn't the best as the company underestimated the demand and consumers had to wait to receive an invite from others to purchase the phone.

The OnePlus 2 will be announced on 27th July in virtual reality. The official list of specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chipset, a USB Type-C port, a fingerprint sensor that "unlocks faster than Touch ID", 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, a more compact design with a 3,300mAh battery.
