One Punch Man skins and cosmetics are coming to Overwatch 2 in March
Overwatch 2 Season 3 kicked off February 7, bringing with it a host of new content, including a new Antarctica Control map, an Asian Mythology theme and Battle Pass with a Mythic Kiriko skin, and the Ultimate Valentine's in-game event.
There is even a one-of-a-kind browser-based Overwatch dating simulator dubbed Loverwatch, which will allow players to pursue either Mercy or Genji. They will be aided by Cupid, who in an hilarious turn, looks exactly like Hanzo.
On top of that, players can look forward to cosmetics from the game's One Punch Man collaboration. It is the first-ever major IP collaboration for Overwatch 2, brining skins and cosmetics inspired by the anime to the game.
You can expect a collection of cosmetics including a Saitama skin for Doomfist and an unspecified Legendary skin that can be earned via themed challenges. The skins will be available from March 7 to April 6, and more details will be revealed before they drop.
Elsewhere, the new Antarctica map thrusts players into a frosty battleground featuring an ice breaker ship and an underground drilling station. With tons of flank routes and elevation to offer players the high-ground advantage, players will be battling for control of these power positions.
Season 3 also dives deep into Asian mythology. Those who complete the premium Battle Pass will earn the Amaterasu Kiriko Mythic skin, inspired by various deities in Japanese mythology. It even features customisations you can mix and match to correspond to the moon, sea, and storms.
Finally, Blizzard is also rolling out a bunch of balance and quality-of-life changes, nerfing Mercy and tweaking matchmaking for fairer matches.
