Last year, Microsoft and Dropbox joined forces to integrate the latter’s cloud storage service with Office. In short, you can access, edit, and share your Dropbox files right from the Office apps on your mobile devices.

Now, both companies are bringing Dropbox integration to Office Online (i.e., Office Web Apps) as well. This means you can easily access your Dropbox files (or create new ones) within Office Online, and when you’re done working on them, save them back directly to the cloud service. This feature is now available to all Dropbox and Office Online users.

The integration works the other way too. When you open a document in Dropbox, you’d be prompted to edit the file using Office Online right in the browser.
