NZXT has announced the Capsule, it's first-ever USB microphone designed for streamers and gamers. The Capsule shares the same sleek aesthetics that the company is known for, featuring a minimalist design and striking colour contrasts.

The Capsule is a unidirectional cardioid microphone, which means it's most sensitive to sounds coming from the front. This should also help with cutting out background noise and NZXT says the internal capsule is tuned for speech in a gaming environment in order to better optimise for vocal clarity.

The microphone offers a pretty no-frills feature set, and there's only that one polar pattern to choose from. Still, this does mean that you don't need to spend time fiddling with any software. It connects to your PC via a USB-C to USB-A cable and is ready to go from the moment you plug it in.

The company has even made a separate Boom Arm to go with it. It clamps onto the edge of your desk, and there are channels along its length for you to route your USB and XLR cables. Designed specially to work with the Capsule, it suspends the microphone above your desk and shields it from vibrations.

The NZXT Capsule is available in either Matte Black or Matte White at US$129.99, while the Boom Arm costs US$99.99. They both should soon be available to buy locally and we'll update when there's news of local pricing.

In Singapore, you can now get both colour options for S$189 at either NZXT or Tech Dynamic's Lazmall stores respectively.
