NVIDIA’s AI Playground will let you experience the wonders of deep learning with fun visual tools

NVIDIA’s deep learning research powers several real-world industry needs, be it in the medical, health, architecture, automotive and many more. However for the typical end-user, it’s difficult to experience the wonders of deep learning.

Enter the new NVIDIA AI Playground – an online space where anyone can experience the power of deep learning and research demos firsthand in a meaningful manner that anyone can appreciate.

For starters, the NVIDIA AI Playground will feature three demos from NVIDIA’s research published last year:-

  • Image InPainting – This model presents an AI imaging technique that edits out unwanted content and replaces the resulting holes with realistic computer-generated alternatives. See the results yourself by uploading and editing your own photos to the Image InPainting demo.
  • Artistic Style Transfer – This demo takes the aesthetic of one image and applies it to another, with realistic results. For example, a user can upload a photo of their friends and convert it to look like it was painted in the style of van Gogh style. In essence, you can convert a photo into a realistic painting equivalent.
  • The Photorealistic Image Synthesis model is a new deep learning-based system that uses conditional generative adversarial networks to generate photorealistic images and virtual environments.

Expect many more demos to be added in the months ahead to showcase the power of deep learning technology and research.

The AI Playground allows everyone to interact with our research and have fun with it. NVIDIA is uniquely positioned between visual computing and AI. That nexus is reflected in our research, and in the demos you’ll see on the AI Playground. - Bryan Catanzaro, VP of applied deep learning research at NVIDIA.
