NVIDIA's Hyperion 8 platform has been adopted by leading Chinese EV makers and "leading tier 1" suppliers

At CES 2022, NVIDIA announced that its Drive Hyperion has been adopted by some of the biggest and most promising names in the automotive industry.

Drive Hyperion is NVIDIA's latest autonomous driving platform and it includes two Orin SoCs and a suite of cameras, sensors, and radars.

To start, leading EV makers from China have announced support for Drive Hyperion and that list includes Polestar, Nio, Li Auto, R Auto, IM Motors, and Xpeng.

In addition, "leading tier 1" suppliers such as ZF, Flex, Quanta, Valeo, and Desay have also announced support for Drive Hyperion.

NVIDIA says the production of cars powered by its Drive Hyperion platform will start as early as this year.
