Based on what we've seen on Valve forums and community chatrooms, there are two opposing factions when it comes to discussing the company's latest VR release, Half-Life: Alyx. One side is whining about why it isn't a full-fledged Half-Life 3, while the other is simply happy to actually have a new Half-Life

However, this article isn't just about Valve and its community quarrels. Plot twist - it's about NVIDIA's new Game Ready driver, which is reportedly optimised for the upcoming sci-fi VR title. On top of that, the driver update also enables DLSS 2.0 support for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries and Control, and further enhances the gaming experience for those playing Resident Evil 3 and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.

For reference, DLSS 2.0 is a deep learning neural network powered by RTX Tensor cores that's focused on creating beautiful graphics in games, not to mention it also allows for further increases to the output resolution and maximum graphic quality. Essentially, you could say it's like a supercharger of sorts for gaming graphics.

That's just what we need, especially with Resident Evil 3 on the horizon. Now you can feast your eyes on Nemesis' ugly mug in even greater detail. Have fun!
