NVIDIA GF104 Imminent, But What Does The Future Hold?

According to many tech sites, it is widely believed that NVIDIA will introduce their new GF104 architecture on their next graphics card, which is very likely to be the GeForce GTX 460 - a mainstream to high-end solution. Rumors indicate that the new GF104 chip will consume 25% less power and also be cooler to run.

While this much about the GF104 is certain, it seems like the future of NVIDIA and Fermi is less so. While electronista reports that the GF104 will now form the basis for all budget and mainstream Fermi cards, MaximumPC, on the other hand, believes that there will be future derivatives of the the GF100, likely to be dubbed the GF106 and GF108, which will power NVIDIA's budget and mainstream cards.
