NVIDIA has announced via a forum post that it is pushing back general availability of the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, its flagship Turing card, to 27 September. The GeForce RTX 2080 will still be available on 20 September.

However, the company said that customers who have already pre-ordered the new cards should expect them to arrive between 20 and 27 September.

The most obvious assumption would be that the delay is a result of higher than expected demand, especially given that the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti became pretty hard to get only shortly after pre-orders opened.

If you haven’t pre-ordered, reviews for the GeForce RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti should drop on Wednesday, so you’ll have more information to go on when deciding whether or not to upgrade.
