NVIDIA admits that there were problems with some GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition cards

NVIDIA has acknowledged that there were issues with some of its early GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition cards. Earlier this month, reports surfaced of problems like crashes and blue screens of deaths, and the company responded by saying that it was dealing with individual cases.

In a forum post, a moderator who goes by Tim@NVIDIA wrote that “Limited test escapes from early boards caused the issues some customers have experienced with RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition,” a vague explanation that didn’t really explain what the problem was.

However, the wording seems to suggest that some cards were not tested properly before being shipped to customers, a problem which if true, should hopefully be easily rectified.

Either way, NVIDIA says it’ll continue to help any customers experiencing problems. This isn’t good news for NVIDIA, as the company already faces the hard task of convincing customers that the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is worth the hefty amount of cash it’s asking for.
