The Nubia Flip 5G is now available for pre-order from the global store.

Another Chinese phone maker has entered the foldable market and its latest offering is said to be the most affordable foldable phone you can buy. This is the Flip 5G from Nubia, a clamshell-style foldable phone.

The Nubia Flip 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 platform and will be available with 8GB or 12GB of RAM. 

It sports a 6.9-inch Full HD+ (2790 x 1188 pixels) 120Hz foldable display and 1.43-inch OLED cover display.

To give its displays some context, the Oppo Find N3 Flip has a 6.8-inch AMOLED (2,520 x 1,080 pixels) screen and a 3.26-inch cover screen, while the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED (2,640 x 1,080 pixels) display and a 3.4-inch cover display.

Other specs of the Nubia Flip 5G include 256GB or 512GB of internal storage, a rear dual-camera setup (50MP main + 2MP), a 16M selfie camera, support for Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and 33W quick charging support. Its battery has a capacity of 4,310mAh.

The Nubia Flip 5G is available in three colours: cosmic black, sunshine gold and flowing lilac. Pre-orders are now open till 22 April in the following countries on its global store

The 8GB + 256GB model is priced at US$499 (~S$675) while the 12GB + 512GB model costs US$699 (~S$946). Prices exclude shipping and taxes.

2 May 2024 update: In Europe, the Nubia Flip 5G retails at €599 (8+256GB) and €699 (12+512GB). In the United Kingdom, the phone retails at £499 (8+256GB) and £699 (12+512GB).
