The Nokia smartphone story will have its first flagship-tier Android model unveiled next month!

HMD Global, the Finnish company which is in charge of Nokia's return to the smartphone and tablet market, has sent out media invites for an event in London on 16th August. Touted as "the next milestone for Nokia phones", it is highly likely that we will be seeing the Nokia 8 handset which has been leaked in the past few days.

Popular tipster Evan Bass (@evleaks on Twitter) shared some of its specs which include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile platform, Android 7.1 Nougat, a 5.3-inch Quad-HD display, either 4GB or 6GB RAM, and dual rear cameras. The Nokia 8 will be the first Nokia-branded smartphone to be equipped with the Zeiss lens, thanks to an exclusive long-term partnership with the German optics firm.
