The Nokia X6 and X5 are rebranded as Nokia 6.1 Plus and 5.1 Plus for global markets

HMD Global just unveiled the global variants of the China-exclusive Nokia X6 and X5 phones. They are rebranded as the Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 Plus.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus is equipped with a 5.8-inch Full HD+ 19:9 display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 636, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage space with microSD support, a rear dual-camera module (16MP + 5MP), a 16MP front-facing camera, a 3,060mAh battery, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Nokia 5.1 Plus comes with a 5.88-inch HD+ 19:9 display, MediaTek Helio P60 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage space with microSD support, a rear dual-camera module (13MP + 5MP), an 8MP front-facing camera, a 3,060mAh battery, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Since both phones are Android One devices, they will be receiving three years of monthly security updates and two years of software upgrades. Both phones ship with Android Oreo. They also enjoy free, unlimited high-quality photo storage on Google Photos.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus is priced at Rs 15,999 (~S$312) while the Nokia 5.1 Plus has no pricing information at the moment.
