Nokia changes its logo for the first time in nearly 60 years
Nokia announced at MWC 2023 that it will be refreshing its logo for the first time in nearly 60 years.
The iconic blue colour is replaced by five different shapes that forms the company name. The colours of the shapes will change depending on how the logo is used.
In an interview with Reuters, CEO Pekka Lundmark says the logo change reflects the company's shift from smartphones to a business technology firm.
While Nokia will continue to sell equipment to telcos, Lundmark states the company will focus on selling gear to other businesses. It will be moving towards factory automation and data centres, which means Nokia will be competing against other heavyweight companies such as Amazon.
