Nintendo has just officially announced the exact timing and date for the next Nintendo Direct, where the company is expected to officially announce the Switch 2 gaming console.
The event will take place on 2 April, at 6am PT. If you are reading this in Singapore, the date and time to jot on your calendar is 3 April, at 10pm SGT.
As a reminder, Nintendo first teased the Switch 2 in a brief video showcasing the revamped hardware. The 2-minute clip offered a glimpse of the new features like magnetic Joy-Con controllers, upgraded joysticks, better triggers, and a new mysterious "C" button.
Besides new hardware, Nintendo is expected to showcase a mix of first- and third-party titles at the event. While the teased new Mario Kart game is already a highlight, hopefully, there will be other titles announced like Hollow Knight: Silksong or even a possible Genshin Impact release thanks to the upgraded internals.
Speaking of upgraded internals, one of the biggest talking points will be how it compares to current-gen competitors like the Steam Deck and the ASUS ROG Ally X. Hopefully we’ll also receive more information regarding the rumoured upgraded custom NVIDIA chipset that it's running on during the event.
Where can I watch the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct?
Readers can watch the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct via the official Nintendo YouTube channel. Remember, the date and time in Singapore is 3 April, 10pm.
