The next iPad rumoured to be thinner and lighter
Apple's next entry-level iPad will have some design changes according to Chinese supply chain sources.
Macotakara claims that the next iPad will have a similar design as the third-generation iPad Air, which in turn adopted the design of the 10.5-inch iPad Pro. What this means is that the bezels are likely to be thinner.
Chinese supply chain sources added that the display size will remain at 10.2-inches and the chassis will measure 6.3mm thin. The next iPad is also expected to be lighter at 460g compared to the current 8th-gen iPad which weighs 490g.
Other rumoured specs include Touch ID button, Lightning port, a full lamination screen with anti-reflective coating, P3 wide colour support, and TrueTone support.
