Another report has surfaced about the upcoming Apple iPhone SE 2.
TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo wrote in his latest investor note that Apple is planning to unveil the next generation iPhone SE 2 model in Q1 2020. Kuo claims the new iPhone SE 2 will have the same form factor design as the iPhone 8 with notable upgrades coming in the form of the A13 processor and 3GB RAM.
Kuo believes the iPhone SE 2 will be the "best upgrade choice" for an estimated 100 million remaining iPhone 6/6 Plus users. Therefore, the upcoming handset serves as a "key growth driver" for Apple next year as current iPhone 6/6 Plus users do not desire for Face ID and multiple cameras.
Nikkei Asian Review reported last month that the iPhone SE 2, also referred as the low-cost iPhone model, will be launched in March 2020 to target customers in emerging markets. The Economic Daily shared a similar report in April where it suggested "a new iPhone 8" with A13 chipset, 128GB internal storage space and a single-lens camera will be announced in early 2020.
