Voice transcription service Otter.ai is making it even easier for Zoom users to record their meetings with the launch of Otter Assistant.

Otter.ai is already integrated with Zoom, but this new assistant is meant to help users make using transcription something they don’t have to remember to enable at the meeting’s start or stop at the end.

Otter Assistant can automatically join any Zoom meeting entered into the user’s calendar, transcribe the conversations, and them with other participants. It works in any meeting the users is attending and not just the host. The notes transcribed can also be shared and collaborated with other participants.

It’s also meant to help reduce Zoom fatigue that more and more workers are complaining they’re suffering from these days.

Sam Liang, co-founder & CEO of Otter.ai. said:

As virtual meetings persist, we need a way to make them more productive and collaborative and to alleviate Zoom gloom. Now, through the power of artificial intelligence, you can send your Otter Assistant to meetings on your behalf so you can focus on what’s most relevant without worrying about missing anything. There has never been an easier way to share meeting content.

Otter Assistant is available only under the business plan at US$20 per user per month.
