The new Mojo by Chord electronics brings studio-quality sound to your smartphone

Entirely built and designed in England, the Mojo is said to distill 27 years of audio expertise into a single mass-market device that connects to your smartphone and completely changes the quality of audio you can get from it.

The Mojo offers three different high-resolution digital inputs: optical (up to 192kHZ), micro-USB, and 3.5mm coaxial (both up to 768kHz). Input selection is entirely automatic, and if more than one jack is active, the priority is as such: USB, coaxial, then optical.

Three main ports for the Mojo - Coaxial, micro-USB, and optical.

New high-temperature battery technology allows for incredibly fast charging. The Mojo reaches full charge in just four hours charging via USB, giving around ten hours of playback. And there’s a battery status and charging indicator light by the micro-USB port so you always know just how much charge you have on your Mojo.

The Mojo plays all of today’s music formats, and has been designed to work with all smartphones and music players. Be it PCM; WAV; AAC; AIFF; MP3, FLAC or even specialist high-resolution formats such as DoP DSD files: DSD 64; DSD 128 and DSD 256, Mojo will handle it all thanks to the Artix-7 FPGA chipset from Xilinx.

The power switch changes colors to indicate the file frequency.

You may have noticed the spherical button the Mojo that control power and volume, but did you also know that they indicate the file frequency? The file frequency is shown clearly by an indicator color option on the power switch: CD-quality (44.1kHz) is red, while 48kHz is orange and so on, up through the spectrum of colors to bright white for DSD. Volume levels are similarly represented using color, so your Mojo literally gives you two sets of information at a glance.

Small but powerful, the Mojo fits perfectly in your hand.
