New MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models with scissor keyboards to launch in Q2?

The 16-inch MacBook Pro uses a more traditional scissor-switch keyboard.

Apple's entire Macbook lineup is expected to feature scissor-switch keyboards by the end of the year.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed in his latest research note that Apple will be releasing new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models with the scissor-switch keyboards in Q2. A 14-inch model is said to be replacing the current 13-inch MacBook Pro.

While the Covid-19 situation outside of China continues to worsen, Kuo expects MacBook-related suppliers will resume normal operations towards the end of this month where mass production of the new notebook models will begin.

Apple finally replaced the butterfly mechanism keys with the introduction of the 16-inch MacBook Pro. Kuo said that customer response to the 16-inch model has been better than expected.
