The new Linksys Velop Dual-Band Mesh WiFi system is now available in Singapore
First seen at CES 2018, the new Linksys Velop Dual-Band Mesh WiFi system has finally made its way to our shores.
The Velop Dual-Band Mesh WiFi system is essentially a more compact and affordable version of the earlier Velop system from last year.
While the Velop system from last year was a tri-band system, this new one is dual-band system. It supports speeds of up to 400Mbps on its 2.4GHz network and 867Mbps on its 5GHz network.
The Velop Dual-Band Mesh WiFi system is a true mesh system and it uses Linksys' Intelligent Mesh Technology to manage Wi-Fi connections at home.
If you have bought the original Velop, you will be happy to know that the two systems are interoperable and 100% compatible with each other. This means that you can get use a single Velop Dual-Band Mesh WiFi node as a more cost effective way of increasing Wi-Fi coverage.
Like the original Velop, the Velop Dual-Band Mesh WiFi system has an app-led setup and works with Amazon Alexa.
The Linksys Velop Dual-Band Mesh WiFi system goes on sale tomorrow and will be exclusively available at Challenger Singapore and Hachi.tech for the first month. New and re-contracting M1 and SingTel Fibre Broadband subscribers will also be able to purchase Velop Dual-Band from 28 July onwards.
The Linksys Velop Dual-Band Mesh WiFi system is priced as follows:
- Single-pack: S$129
- Double-pack: S$239
- Triple-pack: S$339
And as an introductory offer, customers who purchase the double and triple pack will get a free CashCard pre-loaded with $50 while stocks last.
