New iPads rumored to be bezel-less and have no physical home button

Apple's current iPads have thick bezels around their displays.

Apple has not changed the design of the iPads for the past few years, but 2017 could see major changes being introduced to the tablet lineup.

According to Japanese site Macotakara, the 10.9-inch iPad (also referred as the 10.5-inch iPad in other reports) will have no bezels on the sides and maintain the same thickness (7.5mm) as the iPad Air.  The iPad Pro 2 will also have no bezels on the sides, but will be slightly thicker by 0.3mm.

Both tablets are said to retain the top and bottom bezels although the physical home button may be eliminated. Unlike the next generation iPhone models, the new iPads are not expected to be equipped with AMOLED displays until 2018. There are also speculation about a 7.9-inch iPad Pro being introduced next year.
