New iPad Pros with M2 chip and wireless charging expected in Sep or Oct

The Apple 12.9-inch iPad Pro (2021).

Apple is expected to refresh the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro later this year.

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg says he expects Apple to update the existing iPad Pro models in September or October with "M2 chips, wireless charging, and upgrades to the camera system".

It remains to be seen if the new iPad Pro models will come with a glass back. Bloomberg claimed in June 2021 that Apple is testing an iPad Pro prototype with a glass back, and exploring a MagSafe system and reverse wireless charging for the iPad Pro. However, 9to5Mac thinks the next iPad Pro may not have a glass back design as it can be easily scratched or shattered.

Apple is also rumoured to be working on a 14.1-inch iPad Pro for launch in early 2023. It is said to have a mini-LED display with ProMotion technology.
