The new Insta360 One X adds 5.7K 360 video and cinematic slow-mo
Insta360’s newest camera adds more options for editing video during and after capture.
Calling it the “future of action camera”, Insta360’s latest camera – the One X is a 5.7K (30 fps) 360 camera that also offers 50 fps (4K) and 100 fps (3K) shooting modes so you can slow down key moments and keep the rest of the action super smooth.
It also uses an upgraded FlowState stabilization algorithm to give you smooth video without the use of accessories. Whether you mount the camera to a kayak, a selfie stick, or your helmet, Insta360 promises the footage will come out looking like it’s been professionally stabilized.
In the air, underwater, or through snow. The Insta360 One X will give you great stabilized video.
The One X gets a new TimeShift feature that lets you easily adjust the speed of different parts of a clip so you won’t have to specifically capture portions in slow-motion. Speed things up with hyperlapse or slow key moments down; playback remains smooth thanks to the app.
Bullet Time shot gets even better with the One X thanks to the wider field of view and sharper 3K resolution. Taking that concept further, Insta360 has also introduced a Drifter dart that you can snap the One X into and literally throw around. With the dart, the camera will glide in and capture video right from the midst of the action, giving you unique footage that would have been difficult to capture before.

High-speed 5.8GHz Wi-Fi capabilities ensures that you’ll have stable real-time preview on your phone, and full footage can also be sent over direct via cable so you can edit on the go. The Insta360 One X is retailing for US$399.95 and is available now via Insta360.com and select retailers worldwide.
