The new Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music lets you listen to music on the go

The Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music is a new edition of their Vivoactive 3 smartwatch that lets users download songs onto the watch. Garmin says the Vivoactive 3 Music can store up to 500 songs, which can be transferred via USB. It can then pair with Bluetooth headphones for music on the move.

Besides onboard music, the Vivoactive 3 Music also features a slightly redesigned, bezel-less case. Otherwise, it comes with all the features from the Vivoactive 3, which I used and enjoyed.

The Vivoactive 3 Music is a touchscreen smartwatch that’s fitness-focused. It tracks heart rate and comes with over 15 preloaded GPS and indoor sports apps, so you can track activities like running, yoga, and more.

The older Vivoactive 3 has a bezel around the watch face.

The screen is always on, and the Vivoactive 3 Music can get up to seven days of battery life in smartwatch mode. Use GPS tracking and play music at the same time, and Garmin says you can expect about five hours of battery life. The Vivoactive 3 Music also supports Garmin Pay, which currently works with OCBC cards in Singapore.

The Vivoactive 3 Music comes with a black silicone 20mm standard band and has a suggested retail price of S$459. This makes it only slightly pricier than the Vivoactive 3 stainless steel edition, which has an SRP of S$449. The Vivoactive 3 slate with black strap variant costs more, at S$499. The Vivoactive 3 Music will be available in Singapore from 1st July.

Besides the Vivoactive 3 Music, Garmin also announced the local availability of the new Fenix 5 Plus smartwatch series.
