New Firmware Updates Bring 4K/60p Support to Several Receivers in Yamaha's Aventage A30 Series

 

Have a Yamaha CX-A5000 AV pre-amplifier, RX-A1030/2030/3030 AV receiver, or RX-V675, RX-A730/830 AV receiver? Take note that the Japanese audio/video company has released new firmware updates for the aforementioned models. For RX-A1030 and above especially, these updates bring true 4K/60p support.

Here’s a rundown of the features in each update:

CX-A5000: Firmware v1.42

  • Supports 4K Ultra HD 50Hz/60Hz 4:2:0 signals pass-through transmission
  • Supports YPAO Volume function
  • Provides Ultra Low Jitter PLL Setting (Jitter elimination level adjustment)
  • Provides additional setting for the auto-standby function
  • Supports DSP Parameter Adjustment with AV Controller App
  • Improves stability of AirPlay playback
  • Includes other functional improvement

RX-A1030/2030/3030: Firmware v1.41

  • Supports 4K Ultra HD 50Hz/60Hz 4:2:0 signals pass-through transmission
  • Improves stability of AirPlay playback
  • Includes other functional improvement

RX-V675, RX-A730/830: Firmware v1.51

  • Improves stability of AirPlay playback
  • Includes other functional improvement
