New Android and Wear OS features announced

Google just shared a list of upcoming features for Android and Wear OS users.

For the Styles feature in collage editor, there will be unique designs from two new artists for users to create shareable collages of their favourite snaps to share with family and friends. With Emoji Kitchen, users can mash up new emoji into creative sticker combos via Gboard.

The new Reading mode on Android offers an accessible reading experience for people who are blind, low vision or dyslexic. It has customisable display options such as contrast, font type, font size, and a text-to-speech function with speed control.

YouTube has a new Home Screen Search widget for easy access to content such as your library of videos, Shorts or subscriptions. Google TV app will be updated with the option to cast directly to a compatible TV from your phone. The phone can also be used as a remote control. Compatible Digital car keys can be shared with family and friends across Pixel and iPhones.

For Wear OS, new tiles will be added to help users get more things done from the wrist such as getting in touch with favourite contacts and viewing sunrise/sunset times to plan the day. Google Keep on WearOS will be updated so that notes and to-do lists written on the phone will look just as good on the watch.

Google Assistant in Wear OS will be updated so that users can jump into more than 30 types of eexercises with the Adidas Running app.

These new features of Anroid and Wear OS will be rolled out in the coming weeks.
